TikTok’s army of fans will be delighted as Social Shakes, the brand-new ice cream shake bar set to open its first store in Lakeside Shopping Centre, announces it’ll recruit its entire team through a week-long open audition on the social media platform – starting 22nd June.
Launching the TikTok audition process Bradly Carter, owner of Social Shakes said: “I’m really excited to bring the Social Shakes milkshake and ice cream cake experience to Lakeside, and to be recruiting a top team of local talent to become part of our crew of ‘Shakers’!”
“We’re such a youthful, creative and social brand, I knew straight away that the traditional CV & cover letter recruitment process wouldn’t fit. We decided to make the hiring process more exciting and inclusive by throwing open the TikTok doors and inviting everyone to show their fun side through open video auditions.”
With young workers having been hit the hardest by rising unemployment during the Covid pandemic - official figures from the Office for National Statistics show youth long-term unemployment has hit a five-year high, with more than 200,000 under 25s out of work for more than six months - Social Shakes is excited to share career opportunities for talented team members who will help make the Social Shakes magic happen.
Social Shakes takes a fun customer experience seriously! As a ‘Shaker’ team members will craft a variety of ice cream shakes & cakes, serve customers, run the Social Shakes TikTok booth experience and create content to capture the imagination of milkshake fanatics.
