Count on Nelson for cool café counters

Nelson designs bespoke café counters for every budget and for every application – heated, chilled or ambient, drop in, mobile, stand alone, pick up & go as well as completely bespoke solutions.

One of the most important considerations is to establish the type of food that needs to be displayed so that the optimum temperatures required to hold it in good, hygienic condition can be specified.

Displaying the food available is far more meaningful to customers than just a menu. Decisions are usually made quickly (unlike in a restaurant environment) so seeing what is available helps them make a choice immediately. Nelson has seen evidence that food sales increase by around 20% - 30% once food is displayed in an attractive way. A further benefit is that queuing is reduced as less questions need to be asked of serving staff.

Nelson helps ensure that the right display unit is selected and that it is positioned so that customers can see it clearly. Making sure descriptions of the foods are visible is important and, again, this helps customers make their decision while they are still waiting to be served. This can present an opportunity to mention provenance of food or other interesting information.

A counter display is an excellent but serious investment. Advice should be taken before the project begins. There are many factors to consider and there may be obstacles to overcome but a company like Nelson who have designed and installed counters for all types of application across a whole range of budgets, can help. Nelson provides free of charge site surveys as well as full design and installation.
